Tranquil Kitchen

The final product of a 10 week class. Our goal was to develop and self-schedule ourselves to complete a project of our choice. My goal was to create an environment that incorporated food. Naturally, this led to to develop plans for a medieval kitchen. Additionally, I wanted to challenge myself by working in a more stylized theme. Overall, I felt that I achieved a coherent feel for this environment.

All models were created by me. Texturing was completed in substance painter, and aided by Photoshop and Substance Designer. Rendering and particles were completed in Unreal, and the video assembled in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Concept art of some of the various fruits and berries you can see around the scene. I wanted these berries to look as if they belonged to a fantasy world without appearing too unbelievable.

More concept art of the ham, and the steak that (sadly) did not make it to the final scene.

A close up capture of the ham, rendered in Iray. The model has since been updated from this picture, and is not as faceted.
